Hi there, we’re Stuff Somers Says with Steve.
Back in 2020, we started a podcast and then in 2023, we expanded to our home online, here at StuffSomersSays.com.
You’ll find info about Penn State sports and the sports media that covers Penn State’s sports teams here. Plus, we have warehouses of info around Penn State schedules, facts and figures.
This is purely a hobby and really a way for us to keep our writing skills sharp. You’ll notice no ads on the site and if we were to ever add them, they’d be for business that directly support the Centre region. (And if you’re interested in supporting us that way, email darian@stuffsomerssays.com).
We keep the lights on primarily through sales in our store (The Stuff). If you feel like supporting the blog by not buying Stuff, you can do that here, which we greatly appreciate.
Darian Somers
I created this blog as an extension of the podcast that Steve and I host, which covers Penn State, sports media and your favorite weekly segment, Old Guy Young Guy. Before all of this, I graduated from Penn State in 2016 with a journalism degree and a ton of student debt.
Steve Sampsell
In a way, this was all Steve's idea. Steve approached Darian in 2020 to create the podcast. Steve has covered a little bit of everything over his writing career and usually good for a tale or two. His hobbies include listening to P!nk, convincing Darian that P!nk is a good singer and tailgating before Penn State games. His work can be found in various Central PA outlets and now here.
