We did it.
We’ve now paid our website hosting bill twice!
OK, in all semi-seriousness, we’ve made it one whole year into having The Blog as a central home for the Stuff Somers Says Media Empire With Steve.
And I just wanted to quickly say “thank you” because you, person reading this right now, have made it worth it. Steve and I have had an absolute blast this past year writing about Penn State sports and you guys have read a lot of our stuff.
Look, we’ve never been about the numbers and certainly we’re not about making money from this (because we’ve made so much from it that I’ve retired, bought a mansion in State College and am single-handedly funding Happy Valley United) but we’ve had more than 22,000 users come to this here website in the 366 days.
In full transparency, I figured we’d get like 409 at best in our first year so to see that number is a bit overwhelmingly awesome.
So thank you.
We’re doing this mainly because I was bored one night and well I’m not really sure why Steve’s doing it but he hasn’t stopped yet. And we’re having fun, which is why we really decided to do all of this. The Blog. The Podcast. Even The Store.
And we’re not stopping yet. We’ve got a lot of fun stuff planned for the summer and there’s a particularly important college football season coming up that involves the Nits to stress about. Heck, I’ve got other ideas I haven’t even told Steve about yet, too, that are coming this year.
In the meantime, you can support the blog in a couple of ways. First off, give us a follow on Facebook and leave us mean comments. Secondly, subscribe to us on YouTube. That supports the podcast. You can join our newsletter, too. There’s fun extra stuff there once a month. And if you want to financially, we’d graciously take your money.
