Forever Penn State’s.
Decided through a fan-led nomination and voting process, the Penn State Sports Hall of Fame 2026 class is set.
Eight names from four sports have been added to the Penn State Sports Hall of Fame as part of the 2026 class – the second class in the hall of fame’s existence.
Four football players (Ki-Jana Carter, Kerry Collins, Paul Posluszny andWally Tripplet) join six 2025 Penn State football legends in the hall of fame. Additionally, men’s basketball’s Talor Battle and women’s basketball’s Kelly Mazzante become the third and fourth basketball players invited in. Micha Hancock joins 2025 inductees Megan Hodge Easy and Russ Rose.
And lastly, Joe Battista, the longtime Icers head coach and a key factor in delivering Division I hockey to Penn State, becomes the first hockey member of the Penn State Sports Hall of Fame.
In total, 25 names now make up the Penn State Sports Hall of Fame.
The eight inductees for the 2026 were selected after a field of nominees was narrowed down to 15, with nominating and voting taking three weeks. Those nominees who did not make the 2026 class will receive priority in the 2027 voting process.
