One streak is over and another begins.

In the fourth annual SSSWS Penn State Football Media Survey, fans say Lions247 is their go-to place for Penn State football coverage while Audrey Snyder has once again been voted as the fan-favorite beat writer.

Feedback for the Beat

  • Film breakdowns are lacking on the beat which is why Tengwall and Codutti are great. Love that Landon called out Franklin for not knowing ball this spring. …Scarcella, Wogenrich, Rudel, Brennan -those guys are all so solid. When they were turning on Franklin after UCLA, we knew it was over.”
  • Support student media
  • It seems apparent that James Franklin and some of the former football/university athletics communication staff made the beats jobs difficult for even the most mundane and menial asks/tasks reporters and writers would need to do in order to access a team.
  • In general, the beat was very soft with Franklin. Be tough with Campbell.
  • There is such a wide variety of content. I can spend hours watching and reading.
